| Summary | 0000544: Need of .csettings directory!? | ||||||||
| Description |
Hi, is the .csettings directory needed for OMNeT++ >4.2? I/Others got trouble without the .csettings directory. INET does not have such directory. GITHUB- and Sourceforge-MiXiM need it otherwise they loose there CDT support!? Does the IDE generate other CDT settings in Windows? |

.csettings directory is a CDT invention (i.e. nothing to do with the OMNeT++ team). Under some circumstances, CDT decides to split the contents of the .cproject file to several files, and store the files in the .csettings directory. see e.g. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=226457 [^] |

Yes, once CDT decides that it switches to the new format, it moves most of its settings out of the .cproject file into the .csettings directory. After this, the .csettings directory must be also included in the release and also in the repos. |
