|0000133||OMNeT++||IDE / INI editor||public||2010-01-22 11:19||2010-04-23 16:48|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0000133: Custom options support in the ini file editor|
|Description||The user can register new ini file options in C++ code with the Register_PerRunConfigOption() and other macros. However, there is no way to tell the ini file editor about these options, so it will report them as errors.|
Suggestion: the IDE should make it possible to define custom inifile options, probably in the Project Options. (This UI might have a command that searches through C++ files in the project for Register_PerRunConfigOption and other recognized macros, and offer to register them for the IDE)

There is the question where to store these options. Likely NOT in .metadata, because then importing the project into a different workspace would lose it.
It should be stored into some dot-file in the project, and made available to the project and referencing projects. Question is which dot-file. Perhaps we should join .nedfolders, .oppbuildspec and this storage into a .omnetpp XML file which we could keep extending as the need comes.
