|Summary||0000148: Editor crashes when using "Replace all" in ftl files|
|Description||[from Karl Wessel:] when I tried using "Find/Replace->Replace all" in a *.ftl file opened with the IDE, the editor crashes (only the editor instance for that file, everything else continues to work). I can still close the editor tab for that file but can't edit anything in it anymore. The corresponding error message from the .log file seems to be the following:|
> !ENTRY org.eclipse.core.filebuffers 2 0 2010-03-25 11:51:27.228
> !MESSAGE 'class freemarker.eclipse.editors.SetupParticipant' must not
> install a default partitioner.
> When a 'org.eclipse.core.filebuffers.documentSetup' extension
> wants to install partitioning on the document, it must use the
> 'org.eclipse.jface.text.IDocumentExtension3' API and use a unique
This happens regardless which IDE-editor I use (ftl-editor, ini-editor, text-editor, etc). And it only happens with *.ftl files (other files are working fine).
Using "Replace/Find" button instead of "Replace All" still works.

The current ftl editor is based on the original Freemarker Eclipse plugin (for Eclipse 3.0) I found on freemarker.org. As it turned out, a newer version exists as part of the JBoss Tools project, http://www.jboss.org/tools/download/. [^] Too late for a change in OMNeT++ 4.1 now, but we should upgrade to that one for our 4.2 release. Would probably solve the error as well.
