Summary | 0000298: Debugger can not be started if starting IDE from shotcut | ||||||||
Description | As describes in section 2.6 in the OMNeT++ InstallGuide.pdf I created a shortcut from omnetpp.exe which is located in omnetpp-4.1/ide. Now, when I try to start the debugger I get an error message: 'Launching TestProject' has encountered a problem. Error creating session. Details: Error creating session Cannot run program "gdb": Launching failed Cannot run program "gdb": Launching failed Cannot run program "gdb": Launching failed Only if I start the IDE from the MINGW shell the debugger works. | ||||||||

The debugger launcher now adds the mingw/bin and msys/bin directories to the path so gdb must be able to start. |
