Summary0000990: Building and using debug and release mode simulations at the same time
DescriptionIt would be nice to be able to build and use debug and release mode simulations at the same time. If I build both configurations of the simulation, then I would expect pressing the debug button in the IDE to start the debug version, and pressing the release button in the IDE to start the release version.

Small comment on this "feature"... it would double the compilation times, they are already quite long for INET (as an example project with many features).

Maybe just change the behavior so that
- press the debug button -> check for debug build -> if found, run it
-> if not found, build + run it
- press the run button -> check for normal build -> if found, run it
-> if not found, build + run it

This way, people don't have to compile both build types all the time if they just want to debug or run code...

My five cents on the topic :)

Thanks for your comment. I agree that compiling both debug and release must be optional.
